Washington-Slagbaai is not a quick beach stop. You pay park entry, drive rough roads (high clearance often nicer) and bring water, food and shade yourself. The reward: quiet nature and, on the right spots, clear snorkel water far from Kralendijk crowds.

Not every park beach is equal. Boka Slagbaai and Playa Funchi often score well for vibe and water. Wayaka and Playa Benge are quieter and more snorkel- or dive-focused. Playa Chikitu is spectacular to see, but swimming is often discouraged due to strong currents – that belongs on an honest guide, not a marketing list without a warning.
