About this beach
Wayaka consists of three beaches, Wayaka I, II and III, in the Wayaka area of Washington Slagbaai National Park. They are small, white and sandy, with an easy entrance to the water, and according to Bonaire’s tourism site all three are good for snorkelling and diving. Nearby you can see flamingos in the salina.
Wayaka II is named as the place to snorkel or swim, with a maximum depth of about 5 metres: suitable for beginners. Wayaka II and III lie deeper in the park and call for a 4x4. The road is sometimes closed after heavy rain. Diving has been banned in the park since 2023; snorkelling is still allowed.
The Wayaka beaches close at 15:30. The park itself is open Tuesday to Sunday from 8:00 to 17:00 (last entry 14:30), so plan your visit early. The $40 Nature Fee covers the park and the marine park.

Drie baaitjes voor jezelf
“Drie kleine baaitjes vlak bij elkaar. Rustig, mooi water, goed snorkelen. We hadden de plek bijna voor onszelf.”

Mooi en stil
“Mooi en stil. Ideaal als je even weg wilt van de bekendere stranden.”
